Historically, commercial properties were lumped in with residential properties on many MLSs and real estate technology tools. The commercial-specific resources were slim, and dedicated commercial professionals needed more. In 2015, when the Charleston Trident MLS for residential users converted to a new platform due to a vendor shutdown, we knew it was time to spotlight a commercial solution. With guidance and direction from commercial leaders in our industry locally and beyond, we established the South Carolina Commercial MLS, to officially build a commercial-specific MLS.
